We just wrapped up our second group training session with our reactive black lab, Willow. We went from having to hang back a bit, away from the other dogs because Willow was super reactive and anxious, to being right up front, fully engaged. Willow even showed off some of the training commands! Will is calm, patient, and uses a force-free approach. With his guidance, both we and Willow have gained a lot of confidence. We highly recommend Will at Smart Dogs for all your training needs. Thanks a ton, Will!

Our rescue pup Moose has now completed two four-week adult obedience classes at York Dog Park (and he's got the certificates to prove it) - and honestly, it’s been worth every cent. Will is super clear and concise, and he manages group sessions (with a bunch of dogs around) with total ease and professionalism. We’re definitely planning to sign up for some one-on-one sessions since Moose has a few quirks we need to address - but the change in him after these group classes has been incredible. Will employs various memorable techniques and reinforces his Golden Rules at the beginning of each lesson, which really helps us remember everything he teaches. We’re looking forward to the next group session and would recommend Will without a second thought.

Will was a huge help in guiding us and training our Doberman pup, Ronja, during a one-on-one session. He shared tons of awesome tips and tricks to set her on the right path, plus we took part in a fantastic puppy course. We're feeling way more confident now, and Ronja is thriving. Big thanks!

We were pretty swamped with our lively little Irish Terrier pup, Rocky. After four training sessions with Will at York Dog Park (plus a lot of practicing his advice), Rocky is really coming along! We had another one-on-one with Will, and now we’re feeling way more sure of ourselves and bonding better with our dog. Will really understands how dogs operate and does a fantastic job of breaking down what you should do and the reasons behind it. We’ll definitely return to boost our pup’s progress soon!

We took our rescue Trailhound, Holly, to a couple of training courses in York, and she’s turned into a completely different dog. The classes are awesome—fun, engaging, and educational, plus they’re small enough to get some personal attention in each training area. Will is amazing. He’s knowledgeable, super friendly, and a confident trainer who really knows his stuff, making him totally credible. I can say this with certainty since Holly is now a lovely and well-mannered dog. I’d highly recommend him!

We got ourselves a puppy during lockdown (a black lab) and, in our innocence, thought we could manage without help since regular training sessions were off the table. After trying out a few trainers and locations, Bear and I were lucky to discover Will; he’s a super friendly, force-free trainer who’s encouraging no matter where you’re starting from. Now, Bear is an energetic 18-month-old Labrador. By joining the North Leeds group sessions, we’ve picked up a ton of knowledge, and Will has really boosted our confidence to continue our training journey with a better mindset, grasping the essential principles of raising a happy, well-behaved dog (and owner). We’re looking forward to diving into some one-on-one sessions along with the group ones too. Big thanks to Will!

Since Cairo was just 3 months old, I've been bringing him to Will's training sessions. Now that he's almost 8 months, he's super well-mannered and folks are always complimenting how well he behaves for his age, and that's all thanks to Will! Both Cairo and I have really enjoyed the sessions in north Leeds, and we've gained so much from them! Big thanks to you, Will!

We attended group training sessions with Will for our puppy, Taco, and let me tell ya, they were awesome! We did two rounds, and they really helped us in training Taco as we moved forward. Plus, both us and Taco had a blast!

After Taco got neutered, he started showing some aggression and was testing the limits at home and with others. We reached out to Will for some guidance, and within a few hours, he got back to us with some great tips, fun games, and a reminder of the three golden rules that we had kinda let slide. Fast forward two weeks, and now we’ve got our adorable, well-behaved pup who listens and lets us take his toys and food without any fuss!

Last Sunday, we participated in two master classes: Focus training and loose lead walking with Will, alongside our two Miniature Labradoodles, Toffee and Fudge, who are 17 months old. Today, we took them to a bustling dog beach for the first time since the training, and wow, what a change! No more fretting about Toffee darting off to other dogs and ignoring our calls. They were way more attentive to us and their ball, and when they did wander over to greet other pups, they returned easily when we called them back. Learning how to keep their focus on us was just fantastic. Big thanks to Will for equipping us with these skills; we can't wait for a stress-free summer ahead!

We just wrapped up our second 6-week course with our pups, Kobi and Nala! As usual, it was fantastic! Our dogs have picked up a ton from these classes. It's a bummer that the last one is over, but we can't wait for the next sessions! Kobi and Nala really benefit from them. They're always eager to learn more and enjoy the social aspect as well! I just finished my second course with smartDOGS, and the transformation in my young, reactive WCS is incredible. I used to have a tough time getting and maintaining his focus, which made training quite difficult. However, over the course of the two sessions, he has improved tremendously. I’m really proud of him and super thankful for the assistance and support from Will and the Dog Park at Knapton. Thanks a bunch!

We just wrapped up a 6-week course with Will for our border collie, Charlie, and I can totally vouch for these classes. He’s a reactive pup, so I was a bit anxious about enrolling, but the 1-on-1 session we had before starting really put my mind at ease. The training sessions have been fantastic - our walks have improved a ton thanks to the techniques Will shared, and it was awesome to let Charlie off the lead around other dogs in a safe setting to help him socialize. The classes were super friendly and supportive, even when Charlie wasn’t exactly the star student. Big thanks!

Today I wrapped up the Advanced Puppy Training led by Will, and I gotta say, it’s a bit of a bummer since both Frankie and I have had such a blast! There was a point when I thought getting any recall from Frankie was just a dream, and letting him off the lead seemed impossible. But now, after 6 weeks, he actually comes back to me... most of the time! Even better, I can let him roam free in safe fields and woods, and he absolutely loves it. Huge thanks to Will for all the tips and support; Frankie is a much happier pup now, and I’m feeling like a way happier owner too.

Will Smart is a fantastic dog trainer. My super energetic German Shepherd pup, Falco, was dealing with some anxiety issues. Thanks to his training classes and a one-on-one session, Falco has quit pulling and is becoming more self-assured each day. Big thanks to Will!

I scheduled a one-on-one session with Will to get some guidance for Luna, my rescue from Bulgaria. She’s super affectionate and loyal to us, but she had a tough time with strangers, both inside and outside our home. Will broke down Luna's behavior in a way that was easy to grasp and totally non-judgmental. Just under a week later, Luna and the whole family have started using some straightforward tips from Will, and it’s already making for a happier dog and a more peaceful home. We can’t wait to see what’s in store next!
